This seminar is co-host with CPARabbit and will be conducted by two industrial professionals, Mentor Will, and Mentor Effy.
The seminar will focus on 2 areas of career development; 1. Business Analytics/Data Analytics  2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
The agenda for the seminar includes:
Day in the work
Career path in the respective field
Compensation of roles
How to switch to roles like that as a CPA or similar background
Mentors profile
Will currently works as a senior manager in one of the Big 5 Canadian banks in the Analytics team, with over 8 years of experience in credit risk and data analytics in the industry. Will is a FRM and CFA chartered holder, and graduated with a Master of Finance degree.
Effy works in one of the 5 big Canadian banks as Finance Manager for the commercial banking department. Effy has over 10 years of experience working in the FP&A field and multiple years of being a people manager. Effy graduates with a Master of Finance degree and is a CFA chartered holder. Effy’s team consists of people who have accounting and CPA backgrounds, along with people who have finance and business background.
