Responsibilities
- Build and review financial models for valuing complex financial instruments and financial derivative
- Prepare formal valuation reports and/or memorandums documenting the valuation approaches and conclusions. These valuations are used for a wide range of applications including financial reporting, financial risk management, and corporate planning
- Perform valuation engagements relating to the fair value of a variety of complex financial instruments using option pricing, equity, FX and interest rate models
- Manage multiple engagements simultaneously and complete deliverables according to the agreed upon timeline
- Build projections, forecasts and/or models in Excel/Python/FinCAD
- Conduct market research into valuation methods and best practices, market trends and technical topics
- Learn and become knowledgeable of applicable accounting standards pertaining to various valuation issues
- Work collaboratively with the client engagement team
Skills And Experience
- Bachelor/Master’s Degree with a specialization in financial engineering, statistics, mathematics, data science, or finance
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of statistical software and platform, FinCAD, Python, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and Crystal Ball, is an asset
- Some travel may be required
