OFO’s investment platform consists of world-leading third-party managers, each satisfying an investment strategy to which OFO wishes its family clients be exposed. The Investment Analyst will be part of the investment team and also work closely with Operations and other Our Family Office employees. The Investment Analyst will assist in maintaining OFO’s Portfolio Management system, prepare client investment reports, execute trades and assist with third-party manager due diligence and reporting. |

Major Responsibilities |
Portfolio Management System
a. Updating and maintaining data within the Portfolio Management system (d1g1t). Ensuring integrity of holdings and return data and troubleshooting issues or inconsistencies b. Use the PM system to review client holdings and performance c. Update information within the PM system for holdings not held with the custodians d. Interact with multiple custodians and with the PM system to resolve any issues e. Generating reports for use in quarterly client meetings as well as ad hoc reports f. Monitor client asset allocations g. Use data from the PM system in conjunction with excel to analyze asset allocation changes and impact on portfolios
Trading and Off-Book Investment Management a. Executing trades through the custodian’s trading system and through contact with the trade desk b. Coordinating with operations to complete new investments including subscription documents and other required onboarding documentation. c. Coordinating with operations to ensure funds are wired out to third party managers for subscriptions and capital calls d. Cash management (including FX as needed) in client accounts to ensure funds are available when needed e. Prepare trade approval files to track all approved trades
Manager Due Diligence a. Use of Morningstar Direct to screen investment strategies, analyze data and pull information on specific funds or benchmarks b. Assist in conducting research to identify third party managers for selected investment strategies c. Assist in due diligence on selected third party managers d. Prepare presentations to the Investment Committee summarizing the third-party managers on which due diligence has been done e. Assist with ongoing monitoring of existing third-party managers, including monthly and quarterly information collection and organization General Responsibilities a. Understand, at a high level, the various investment strategies chosen for clients b. Assist with the creation of presentation materials for clients and prospects c. Assist with investment documentation as needed |
Education / Work Experience / Designations |
§ Minimum 5 years’ experience in the investment industry, preferably with exposure to portfolio management and related software and bank trading platforms, placing trades, generating reports
§ Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, mathematics or quantitative science, but exposure to other disciplines welcome § Broad understanding of multiple asset classes and securities markets § Strong math skills § Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels § Must be able to see ahead of the curve and resolve issues proactively § Knowledge of NBIN’s systems is an asset § Knowledge of d1g1t is an asset § Knowledge of Morningstar is an asset |

Working Conditions |
At this point OFO is working on a hybrid basis in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and additional days in the office on an as needed basis.
