Job Description

The role of Quality Assurance Analyst will lead QA/QC across multiple email and web campaigns concurrently while providing necessary guidance to developer and project managers. To be successful in this role, candidates must be detail-oriented, accustomed to working in close partnership with Project Managers and Developers, and have an in-depth understanding of email and web accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products

Communicate quality standards and parameters to team members

Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens and content

Identify and analyze recurring issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, recommending and facilitating solutions to these issues

Reviews client, customer, and user feedback

Ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures and maintain compliance with laws, regulations and guidelines

Translate functional and technical requirements, creative briefs, wireframes, and comps into corresponding test strategy, test plan and test cases

Collaborate with Project Management and Development staff through all stages of the Project lifecycle

Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

Manage inventory of devices, tools, accounts required to execute email testing

 

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst in a relevant role

2-3 years’ experience in email/web development testing

Experience in functionally testing emails, websites and mobile applications using variety of tools, emulators, browsers and devices, in both English and French

Knowledge of QA techniques and processes through a software lifecycle

Familiarity of defect tracking system and process (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and automated email testing tools (e.g.: Litmus or Email on Acid)

Hands-on experience with automated testing tools

Experience with accessibility testing to ensure product’s conformance to the Web Content Accessibility (WCAG) 2.0, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Web accessibility best practices

Quality focused, ensuring every piece of work is delivered defect free and with the highest possible quality

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Possesses a continuous improvement mindset to enhance checks, reduce errors & improve overall email development quality
