Job Description

Role Purpose

This is a senior role with focus on Fixed Income index rebalance review, financial modeling related to index construction.

There will be regular liaisons with real time financial market intelligence and market maker professionals.

This role requires candidates with strong detailed oriented skills and able to work in fast paced environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Works strategically with both internal and external clients to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the intricate nature of how the Fixed Income market operates
  • Understands and appropriately applies Index Management policies, procedures and controls, challenging policies to ensure they are relevant based on real-world events and making recommendations to change of index as needed.
  • Analyses Fixed Income markets and data to understand the root cause of changes to indices. Conducts impact analysis on changes affecting, and caused by, indexes and communicates the impact to internal and external customers
  • Provides advice and mentorship to internal customers within Index Management and across the organization on specialist indices, working with relevant teams to prevent future incidents and recommending index changes.
  • Develops specialist knowledge in specific indices, maintaining an understanding of how changes in the market affect indices
  • Communicates market and index changes to clients, indicating the cause and effect of the change
  • Maintains the integrity and accuracy of indices, and reviews data to ensure completeness, authenticity, accuracy and timeliness.

Minimum Requirements

  • Finance/Math/Quantitative/Risk related Bachelor Degree
  • Financial Modeling/Risk management experience (an asset)
  • Fixed Income knowledge (an asset)
  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred
